ABOUT US

From past times
to prime time.

The Courthouse is back where it belongs, at the heart of the community.

By You, For You

Located right in the middle of a town once populated by makers of spades, nails, bicycles, weavers, artists and poets, The Courthouse has the space, the creativity and the ambition to restart the creative heartbeat of Bushmills.

The Courthouse is a catalyst for social and economic progress. In other words, we’re here to make Bushmills stronger by reviving the creativity that once put this town on the map. We’re here to bring local Life in Session.

This project was awarded €7.8m from the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, which is managed by The Special EU Programmes Body. Match funding has been provided by The Department for Communities, Northern Ireland and The Department of Rural and Community Development, Ireland.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder for the UK’s heritage. Using money raised by National Lottery players we support projects that connect people and communities to heritage. Our vision
is for heritage to be valued, cared for and sustained for everyone, now and in the future. From historic buildings, our industrial legacy and the natural environment, to collections, traditions, stories and more. Heritage can be anything from the past that people value and want to pass on to future generations. We believe in the power of heritage to ignite the imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and to build pride in place and connection to the past.
