With a zero waste approach to her work, Jill creates distinctive lamps, homeware and soft furnishing, designed to last and impress for decades.

The Future of Flax

With two grandfathers who grew flax, and having trained in soft furnishing and interior design, Jill Gurney has linen and sustainability in her DNA. Insisting on using natural fibres is not without its challenges, so Jill spends a lot of time sourcing antique or unusual linens with the life and texture needed to find their place in a contemporary home.

Jill’s latest range focuses on bringing retro lamps from the 1960s up to date with linen shades but she is also busy with ‘revamping lamps’ that customers bring into The Designerie! Linen Lane workshops are really popular, so stay up to date with her social channels so you don’t miss anything!
